Verdi Productions is a fully funded film production company located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, with additional offices in New York City, New York. The company pursues all aspects of filmmaking, carrying projects from conception of script through postproduction.
Verdi Productions is redefining how films are made on the East Coast. Unlike other film projects that come to the Northeast, Verdi is establishing itself as a fixture in the Rhode Island community. Verdi Productions does not operate on a project-to-project basis, but instead functions like a west coast studio, with established offices, full time employees, and a continuous stream of product.
Over the past 9 months, Chad A. Verdi, Managing Partner of Verdi Productions and the Managing Partner of the Woodhaven Production Company a subsidiary of Verdi Productions, has invested over $5 million dollars into three feature films. One feature, entitled “Loosies,” is in the final stages of post, and will be going to the Cannes film festival in May. It stars Peter Facinelli (Twilight), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), Vincent Gallo (Buffalo '66), Joe Pantoliano (The Matrix), and Jaimie Alexander (Thor)
By the end of 2011, Verdi Productions will produce anadditional two feature films (for a total of six films in eighteen months),employ close to 200 people at an average salary exceeding $30,000 dollars, and have over $10 million dollars of private equity invested into the state of Rhode Island. In addition, the company has enough intellectual property (scripts) to extend its production schedule through 2012.
