EAST GREENWICH, R.I. --  Filmmakers Chad and Michelle Verdi of Verdi Productions in East Greenwich announced they have joined Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese's documentary project, "The New York Review of Books: A 50 Year Argument."

The film, due to premiere in New York on Sept. 27 and then air on HBO, tells the story of the vibrant intellectual life of the The New York Review of Books, founded during a newspaper strike in 1963.

Extras Needed For The Vinny Paz Movie, Bleed For This, Executive Produced By Martin Scorsese

Verdi Productions along with CES Boxing brings you a night at the fights with the stars on hand November 7, 2014.

East Greenwich, Rhode Island, October 29, 2014:  On November 7, 2014 CES Boxing along with Verdi Productions will be giving away 100 VIP ringside tickets to Bleed for This.  You can win front row tickets to be in the boxing match scene being filmed on November 12, 2014 at Twin River Casino's Event Center.  Bleed for This is Executive Produced by Martin Scorsese and stars Miles Teller, Aaron Eckhart, Katey Sagal, and Ciarán Hinds.  Bleed for This tells the true-life story of five-time world champion boxer and Rhode Island native, Vinny Paziena ("Vinny Paz"), who was injured and left with a broken neck in a near-fatal car accident at the peak of his career.  After months of recovery and against doctors' orders, Paz returned to the gym under Mike Tyson's former trainer Kevin Rooney, and made a triumphant return to the ring just over a year later.

Also on hand will be Writer/Director Ben Younger (Boiler Room, Prime), Oscar winning Producer Bruce Cohen (American Beauty, Silver Linings Playbook), RI Producer Chad A. Verdi (Loosies, Silence) and Producer Pamela Thur.

Three thousand extras are needed to fill the Event Center at Twin River Casino on November 12, 2014.  We need to fill the Event Center with up to 1,500 people from 6 AM-12 PM and then 1,500 people from 1 PM- 7 PM.  There will be food and soft drinks served.  Bleed for This and CES Boxing will be raffling off restaurant gift certificates, flat screen TVs, RI Premiere tickets, Vinny Paz-signed boxing gloves, as well as other actors and a chance to have lunch with Vinny Paz.  All VIP winners are required to be on set for the full 12-hour day.
